99 2.0 Intermittent oil level message - Peter

Intermittently, on the dash centre computer display a warning message comes up, telling us to check the engine oil level.

The oil pressure warning light does not illuminate and the engine oil is full.

Just as a precaution, I intend to change the oil and filter, can anyone suggest courses of action should the message persist.

Mine has only ever come on intermittently when the oil level is getting low ish, if the level is fine then maybe a loose / corroded connection somewhere.
