04 1.6 Air con runs all the time! - toiletman
Can anyone help with this one?? As soon as I turn on the blower the air con comes on either if the air con button is lit or not. If I take out the fuse (45) from under the glovebox this stops it but it is not really practical to turn on and off this way!!
Most peoples air con probs are no cold air trust me to get it the other way round......

On a Focus the air con is on when the air is directed to the windscreen, even when the light is not on. It's a daft idea.

I suspect its to aid quicker demisting of the windscreen.

I am amazed at the amount of people who do read the car manual in the Ford book it goes into great detail about heater and A/C controls.

Climate or manual sytems ,the a/c is switched on when front screen demist is selected on the rotary distribution control.However the "a/c on "warning light on the push button may not illuminate.hth
