96 1.6 knocking noise - phil the skips
i've got a knocking noise coming from the rear of my mondeo, only when the car is moving... the slightest pressure on the brake pedal stops it, ? ? thinking could it be a wheel bearing or the brakes ? ? ? any ideas..thanks

could be anything
do you owe any alimony?
could be a private detective hiding in the independant rear suspension with a camera
its dangerous out there see

Jack up the rear of the car (support with axle stands if you are planning on delving under the car) and spin the rear wheels. See if the noise is more apparent on one side than the other. Also check for any play by grabbing the top and bottom of the wheel and rocking it.

Exhaust knocking? Had this on mine, a slight adjustment was needed but all is well now.
