04 1.9 Loss of power - Bazscott
the management light has come on and I have a loss of power. Fuel filter and air filter both ok and have been checked. Any ideas?

Check all the vacuum pipes carfully for splits etc. They measure around 7-8mm OD, are black and run from relay type units on the rear bulk head to various part of the engine. Another possibility is a failed MAF sensor you can test this by unplugging it and driving it. If some performance returns that will probably be the fault The MAF sensor is usually the first one closest the air filter box. Both these are common faults on the 1.9 VAG diesels and ive had them both before.
