Hi,

I have a intermitent problem. Sometimes from hot or cold my vectra does not start with out putting some revs on first. Also it has cut out on me while driving (I can go weeks between cut outs).

Any one have any ideas?

Also I have an annoying knocking noise from the back end when it goes over bumps.

Cutting out possible EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valves are common, as are mass air flow meters!

Knocking noise could be one of the bottom arm bushes or anti roll bar links but without hearing it this is a guess!

Cutting out and non start are classic symptoms of crankshaft sensor fault.Never changed an airflow meter or Egr valve on this year model.hth

I've fitted a couple when i worked at vauxhall dealer but yeah good point the crank sensors are always going on them and omegas!
