1998 1.3 CVT Headlight won't work! - dodo
My daughter's Micra recently went through the MOT with a wash. Great wee car but for some reason the nearside headlight refuses to come on but will light if you pull the flasher proving the bulb to be operational. Is there a problem in the light switch or even a relay? Over to you folks. Thanks

I think you may be getting confused with the fact that you are flashing the headlights on main beam & its the dip filament that has failed. Check the bulb first, then check that the plug hasn't melted. Early micra's did have dim dip relays that used to give all sorts of problems but keep it simple for a moment & check or replace the bulb. Do not touch the glass of the bulb when you replace it

Thanks but headlight won't come on dipped or full beam so theory about the relay might be worth investigation. Thanks
