Hello whenever i drive my ford ka it judders. I have changed the spark plug and the air filter. have you got any advice pls.

Little bit more info please?

What mileage? How long you had it? is it a recent problem or always been present?

Any recent problems/incidents that may or may not be related?

Is it better/worse when hot/cold . etc.

the more info the better the possible answers.

its 30,000. had it three months, started about 3 weeks ago getting worse. was worse cold, now its bad all the time.

Suggest a visit to a mechanic and then report back for comment on their opinion/remedy ?

Well when i set off it acts as though it will stall but doesnt. basically it thinks its a rabbit. It happens when i press the clucth down. My bf has changed spark plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter, yet no luck. Getting sum one to tune it tommor see if they can see what is wrong but i dont no how much this costs

Could give 20+ possibles for the symptoms so far described.

I dont advise the change this, change that attitude to see if it cures the problem, generally works out dearer long term.

So seeking proper attention to identify the problem, and then the solution is the best answer.

One thing I would suggest (in the absence of any real info about the fault other than the mention of pressing the clutch which provides a hint at an idling issue) would be to clean out the idle control valve - it costs nothing to do.

gemgem892 My daughter has a Ford Ka,for many weeks she had similar juddering problems,coil packs,leads and plugs were changed with no success.then Ifound two references from screwloose about calcium batteries and fords.We changed the non calcium battery for a calcium and it cured the juddering immediatley.HTH Burman

More likely a bad earth;cured on the changeover.Non-calcium batteries go back to the 1800's.

just sorted it cost 100 pound it was a faulty coil which connects to the spark plugs. thanks for the help
