Vauxhall Corsa C (2000 - 2006) - 2000 1.0 Reverse lights won't come on

2000 1.0 Reverse lights won't come on - bcd
Hiya

In my mum's car, I've just noticed that the reverse lights do not come on when reverse gear is engaged.

We've checked all the bulbs, and they are not 'blown'.

Any ideas? Is it expensive to fix? Should I take it to Halfords?

It'll be fuse or switch.

Or the wire from the switch to the lamps. The switch will be on the gearbox, and the lead can get dislodged/muck in the joint/connector.

Has the car had a new gear linkage at some point (most Corsa's do at some point)? Quite often the connection for the reversers is missed during the process.

Yes, we had a new linkage put in last August. Would this come under the warranty?

more than likely a switch issue changed one yesterday for same fault changeing the linkage will make no difference so it's not a warranty job

I'm getting it done tomorrow. It's a faulty connection. £25.
