02 2.2 Thinking of Buying a 2.2dci - Help needed - Bigtone
Thinking of buying a 02 plate Laguna 2.2dci sportswagon 74000miles full Renault history,
I have read of problems with turbos/ERG vavles blow engines on the 1.5and 1.9 dci engines does the same apply to the 2.2 engine, Is there any other probs to look out for or should i steer well clear?

The 2.2 is the worst of a very bad bunch for "reliability" - they're only cheap to buy....

The other major problem with the estates are the rear subframe mounting bushes a £200+ job and at that age mileage they are about ready to change.There is also a problem with the 6 speed box it runs on at oil people top them up to the fill plug level with normal gearbox oil and that ruins the box.The rear discs cost a fortune as they come with the rear wheel bearing attached.Nice looking car well equiped in the Initiale form but run away fast.
