Cheapest new car offer ?? - Martin
Hello All

A pal's daughter wants a new car rather than an old banger. Can anyone tell me where the cheapest current offers are?

Any make will do.

MotorPoint in Derby have some Saxo & Corsa's at just under £6,ooo.

Any others?

Fiat were doing Punto " MIA " for 6 grand these are a really good & safe little car, My daughter bought one in January and has only filled the tank 3 times !

there is a car called Perodua Nippa which is only about 4.5 grand - these don't look very nice though

Get her a Fiat , she'll probably get a decent finance deal too

honestjohn was rather keen on Fiat Puntos in the Daily Telegraph Motoring section. Won't the daughter be fussy over the look. Lot depends on the likely mileage and who is going to keep paying for the repairs!

If the aforementioned daughter is young, insurance may loom large. Citroen sold a lot of Saxos with insurance thrown in - don't know if they still do. Worth asking.

New Corsas, Fiestas and Kas all have had the insurance. I think the 106 has if you are over 19.
