White squares, one facing each way, atop a pole. Maybe a foot across. On the M6. One has a speed camera logo just underneath it.
What are they?

Where on the M6, roughly? I am going up it next week from Birmingham to Thelwall Viaduct and beyond. Sounds like 2 solar panels to me. I have never seen a speed camera with a logo on it unless you mean Truvelo or some such brand name.

They are UHF/microwave network trunks, each one will face another one some distance away and so on. They work similar to the uplinks on cellphone masts. These will have 3 or 6 vertical antenna around a circle to create a 360 degree cell, and you will see something similar to the above mounted below to link the cell tower to the next one.

AS, between J34-ish and J37-ish. So I suspect a bit North of where you'll be. Though if you stay on until J38, come off and go to the Southbound caff ("J38") then you'll find a stonking plateful of good English food.
