Hi

Hope someone can help. Ive got a 1.3 1999 fiesta and the fan for the heater started to make a strange whirring noise followed by a clunking/rubbing noise which got progressively slower until it stopped completely. It would then start up working again but still making the same noises and eventually stopped working altogether. I still get heat into the car once its been running for about 15mins but as you can imagine in the cold weather its causing a real problem keeping the screen clear.

Can this be repaired easily by an amateur?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Get a copy of the haynes manual it will show you how to remove the heater motor, you may be lucky the fan as dropped off, but cheap to replace.. good luck.
