02 2.0dti ECU replacment - anotherjohn
referring to "blondegypsy" posting of 25nov07 & subsequent responses, in particular Vauxhall dealership experiences. Have a 2002 Zafira 2.0dti manual gearbox with a warning light, symptoms being loss of power when accelerating, more noticeable in lower gears. Had independent diagnostic check with following fault codes reported (PO606-PCM processor fault) and (PO704-clutch switch input circuit fault). Advised to replace the ECU. Not contacted a Vauxhall dealership as yet, any advice from members of what to expect if/when I do. Is there an alternative to dealing directly with a Vauxhall dealership for this problem, i.e an independent (northwest Lancashire area). Any issues with continuing to use this vehicle for the timebeing? Thanks in advance & All the best to forum members for 2008.

If it does turn out to be the ECU at fault then it may be worth considering the likes of BBA reman, who can fix ECUs I believe as well as supply new ones:-
