1998 2.5TDi auto - Starting when warm - brwh
I have an Audi A6 2.5 TDI 1998 auto. It starts fine first thing when stone cold; it starts fine when hot but if I drive it and it stands for 2-3 hours it is the devil's own job to start.
I have been told it may be an injection pump fault but I wonder if it is a malfunctioning temperature or injection sensor? An injection pump replacement is serious money so can anyone bring me comfort? If it were the pump would it work fine when both cold and hot?
