Not a new problem, but what's anyone's suggestion on sorting out the area where the laquer has been attacked? I read in the Back Room that it's T-cut and a polish, is that the best remedy?

See my thread 'Bird Poo Again ' in the Discussion thread. Tread carefully the lacqer is thin and soft in comparison to what it used to be in the good old days!
Machine polish is about the best bet but you need to know what you are doing.
You could always start with something a little bit more abrasive than T cut such as rubbing compound but as I say be careful!!!
