fiesta airbag light - welderjames
Hi all,my girlfriends 1997 fiesta,,,
the orange airbag light comes on as normal whith all the other dash lights,and goes out once started,,,as it should.
But then after appx 20 0r 30 secs it flashes once for a quick second then after appx 30 seconds has another quick flash and so on and so on every 30 seconds or so??
any ideas what this could mean or can it be reset,,thanks...

You say abs {It was a typo error, now corrected - DD} --------on a 97 festa very rare (never seen one never mind had one)
then you say airbag
sorry cant help
is it a ghia model with a cacophony of lights on the dash?
the favourite if it is is a faulty door open switch or an empty washer bottle
if definately the airbag then check the wires under both front seats with the ignition off but more likely its a faulty squib on the steering wheel had a few of these lately on this year
