Mondeo Head Gasket ~ Wet or dry? - stuartl
I'm about to change the HG in my 2litre silver top zetec mondeo and was wondering whether there is any merit in using any sealing compound similar to blue hylomar or should HG's always be put on dry?
I used to change heads on my old xflow based kit car and do them dry with no problems but this one looks a tad more long winded and if using such a compound would be advantageous it seems silly not to as I dont fancy doing the job twice.......

Always dry.

Those head gaskets that require any compound will have it built into the gasket itself, evident by a line of blue or red, tacky to the touch, stuff !
