weve got a problem with our 206 d,it starts no problem but when you press accelerator slowly nothing happens, you have to floor the accelerator to get any responce but as soon as you take your foot of the accelerator your back to having to floor the accelerator again ,any suggestions would be great
sorry should of said this happens when trying to rev the engine
where do you start, throttle cable and or linkage, blocked injectors , faulty solenoids, bold tyres ? could be a million and one things
weve a feeling its a cable problem but were not sure if it runs through a dampner or anything
you dont give a year so i wonder if the later ones of these fly by wire as it were?
yes its on a t plate .when following the cable its connected just above the radiator and goes into what looks like a black cylinder, when you press the peddle it looks like it pushes inwards but not far enough has any one any idea what this is ?
try removing the telescopic damper off the injector pump lever ,this frequently becomes stiff any over powers the spring in the cable buffer (the one behind the rad with the spring in)not allowing the throttle to open correctly, its ok to leave it off as a new one is approx £90!!!!!!!!!
