Hi everyone, just recently the there has been a screeching noise when lifting up the clutch pedal, it doesnt happen all the time, but is a bit annoying. The car is a 52 plater 1.6 Ghia, with about 40000 miles on the clock. Secondly there is a ticking noise coming from the engine bay that gets louder when you accelerate, again it just an annoying noise that doesnt affect the driving of the car. Many thanks in advance :)

the noise when using the clutch could be caused by somthing known as clutch scroop, its just as the clutch wears & the friction surfaces become polished they resonate, simular to when you drag your hand over a polished table .No need to worry
