Steering sometimes heavy and warning light came on temporarily.
At the time, the lights were on but they did dim occaisionally.
Know the power steering is electro hydraulic and that the steering column sensor can give trouble bu this appears to be related to availble charge?

It could be an alternator problem - the steering could trip out if the alternator voltage is too high. This was the apparent cause on my father's Fabia and I noticed the headlights flicker from time to time
