hi, i have a 306 and my problem is when pulling away from rest and is extremely bad when pulling away from rest on an upward gradient, i get a ripping/tearing sound coming the front end of my car, i think from the driver's side front wheel area. so far i have changed the lower arms and the antiroll bar links. anyone else had similar or same problem or anyone knows what could be making this sound. thanks.

brake binding? more info if you can?

I changed the front pads and disc's not long ago, noise was present before changing and still the same noise after changing, calipers etc all work good.

Find an empty piece of straight road with nothing to hit, and get the car rolling gently in reverse gear; same noise on clutch takeup?
With clutch engaged, now gently build up a little speed; same noise as you do so?
Also with clutch engaged - and no steering applied! - press the trottle smartly; same noise?
Will help identify if powertrain / torque / load / load direction related.
