So we all know it's illegal to "clock" a car's mileage, but what does it mean when you see an advert for digital mileage correction?
I would have thought this implies they're clocking the car???

It is only illegal if you are caught doing it and/or if you claim the adjusted mileage is genuine SFAIK.

I do not believe it's illegal to do it. For example, you might have had a new speedometer fitted and want to have the mileage corrected so as to read the same as the previous speedo that was replaced.
Nothing whatsoever illegal in what I've described.
However, you could also use the digital mileage correction to ....................................................!

Exactly.....................Put it this way - when you see an advert in your newspaper for a "Massage" Parlour you obviously know what these places really offer.
One can apply this to mileage "correction"
