had a hot foot wash coming back from heathrow yesterday. heater matrix finally gave up. will bypassing the matrix temporarily cause any damage on my galaxy 2.8 with climate control?

I wouldn't have thought so, its only going to be like setting the heater to cold. I don't know exactly how the galaxy cooling system is set up to work but even in this day and age I can't imagine that bypassing the matrix will cause any problems in the short term.

Thanks Simon. I am thinking about the tempory measure until I can find the time/courage to remove the dash. Why can't the manufacturers put an access hatch to the matrix?
Has anyone ever taken the dash out of a Galaxy/Sharan or Alhambra? If so, where do you start?
