Renault Laguna 1.6 '99 ABS LIGHT - redviper

Hi

As the above problem is a MOT failure - i have decided to get it sorted out once and for all - as per my prev post I have had ongoing problems with this.

instead of the Garage that i bought it from (as the car is now out of warrenty) I have taken it to a place who specialise in Renault electrics and I am due to have the work undetaken within the next couple of weeks.

Just incase the guy who is doing the work is reading this then im not doubting his work/advise just wanted to ask some more questions.

the problem is due to the system not getting any power, through its main loom - therefore this needs to be replaced. work is going to cost £200

The questions that i have is

Anyone else had same problems as mine? - the guy at the garage says that he has had to replace a few of these, as cabling is exposed to the elements and as such does cause a few of these failures

As i have left the problem for a good few months (6) as i have had other finciall issues to resolve - am I likely to have casue major damage to the ABS system?

If so - would this have been picked up when the car was "plugged in"?

Am i likley to experience anyother issues,??? becasue to be honest I have lost all faith in this cars ABS system
