Reading the BBC news story regarding the walk out at Vauxhall Ellesmere Port, I noticed the picture shows a production line building a car which I do not recognise, maybe a Rover SD1?

Surely the BBC have a more up to date picture.

Hover over the picture and all is revealed - that is a Mk 3 Astra. Not sure if that the correct name, but they were advertised by Nigel Hawthorne and Tom Conti, iirc.

It's an Astra.
No idea what Mark it is but the ones between roughly J reg to R.
(Somewhere between then they got clear indicators)
Does look like an SD1 though!

|
Is it not a 3rd Generation Astra. Pre 1997.
|
Definately an early MK3 Astra

That is the 1992-1997 Astra
