I have a 96 306 xsi which has knocking from the n/s rear over light ripples in the road. It happens when the suspension is unloaded. Any ideas?

Probably the exhaust. Could be the n/s shock.

I had a similar issue with my previous 306XND. It proved to be a rear subframe mounting bush. Both sides had to be replaced - total cost about £120 including labour.
