2006 Passat - Phone Issues? - Secretary-to-the-Boss
Hi - the Boss has got a 2006 VW Passat with the factory fit phone kit.

We were told this was NOT bluetooth, but have now been told the phone and the car need to pair (ala Bluetooth) for the kit to work, but "something" on the car is preventing this; and VW have said if after next attempt to rectify it still doesn't work they will pay for an aftermarket kit.

Anyone else come across this? Any solutions? Although the offer seems to be genuine if we wanted an aftermarket kit, we wouldn't have ordered the £250 + £85 cradle VW one!

Hello Secretary to the boss,

Your problem could be due to either the 'phone software not being compatible with the car kit or vice versa. I would not let VW cop out on this insist they identify the problem as it could be just as simple as having new software downloaded.

Rocky.

Taken from the options list for the new Passat, looks like it's probably a comptability problem. Do you know what phone the "boss" has?
