VW Caravelle T4 2.4 diesel - mr_b
VW Caravelle T4 2.4 diesel, the problem we have is the oil warning light and alarm keeps coming on, we have changed oil pressure switches and it still did it, we changed oil and filters and flushed the engine and this cured it for 1500 miles and it started doing it again, the oil is full and the van drives well no knocks or noises any one got any other ideas to the problem the alarm is driving us mad.

You need to have the hot oil pressure measured to determine if this is an electronic false alarm or an, occasionally seen, oil-pump or clogged oil pick-up problem.

In connection to previous post can any one advise us if flashing oil light and alarm could mean anything else than an oil problem,our local vw dealer says its just an oil related problem but weve also been told the flashing light and alarm could be a warning for some thing else ,pressure switches changed,oil and filter renewed and now we have stripped it down and removed oil pump ,the sump and oil pump are spotless and no blockages were stumped as the cause
Its on a r plate
