Golf mk 3 Headlights - islandman
Morning all and merry Christmas.
Having driven my daughters mk 3 Golf at night I notice the headlights are poor --- seem worse than her older polo. The lens are not particulary dirty so I wonder if this is the norm.
Anyoneelse noticed this with these models?

They're not brilliant I'm afraid. This is why I changed to mk4 style headlights. ( not for looks at all)
If you can afford it, I'd change them for "up to date" mk4 golf ones.

If, during bulb replacement, someone has touched the bulbs glass, then this can sometimes cause your lights to dim a little. The finger marks evaporate due to the heat and settle on the reflector and dims it. As far as I?m aware there is little you can do with them.
