Audi A4 intermittent ABS light - stokie
In my 1996 A4 1.8 petrol (186k miles) the dashboard ABS warning light comes on. It only occurs when the car is laden with 3-4 passengers. Restarting the engine sometimes cures it

Has anyone else had this problem?

Suspect one of the speed sensor wires at the rear going open circuit when the suspension moves when 4-up. VAG Com should be able to pinpoint the problem, the majority of good independents specialising in diagnostics are equipped with VAG Com, check out Yellow Pages.
