VW Golf Clutch Probs - scooby1
Hi there

Can anyone recommend where i can get my Golf GT TDI clutch replaced.. My not so friendly VW Garage wanted to charge £700 for teh pleasure and warned I might have to replace teh fly wheel.. dont think so .. the car has just done 70k miles and its the first clutch change...

Any comments appreciated!

Whilst you might not like the idea of replacing the flywheel, I think you'll find these are fitted with dual mass flywheels, which have a habit of separating. I believe the standard advice is to change the flywheel at the same time as the clutch, otherwise you end up doing it again some time later when the flywheel fails.....
