Didn't take long did it :-). My Alfa has developed a drone whilst driving similar to wheel bearings on the way out, but the bearings are new & ok. Any ideas as to what else it could be? Getting rid isn't to be one of em :-) b4 someone else says it.

I dont know, the rears are both rotationals with at least 5mm tread. Front ones are non rotational and low on tread, avons on rear & goodyear on front all are 155/55/15's

sorry 195's not 155s as stated DOH

I've had a 145 for 8 years.
Had a wheel bearing go on the rear near side.
Does your drone persist with the engine switched off and coasting?
Does the noise increase in frequency with speed (engine on)?
How do you know the new bearings are okay? Did someone check?
A new bearing can fail too.
The only drone that I have had from the tyres is occasionally when they were new.
Never had any other drone.

Just remembered.
Did have one of the exhaust heat shields contacting the exhaust and make a vibrating noise. Was higher pitched than the noise from the wheel bearing.
There are a few underneath the car. The one that went on mine was between the front wheels before the cat.

Checked the bearings, they are fine, but the noise increases and decreases when speeding up and slowing down.
