the no name copper grease ive been using doesnt seem to be too effective, can anyone suggest a good brand thats easily availble?

Copper slip, made by Comma (i think) is widely available from factors and accessory shops.

I use Rocol J166 and have also used the Coppaslip, both to good effect.
You say that you have found yours to be innefective. Bear in mind that they are anti-sieze compounds, and not a true lubricant type grease.

I also found Coppagrease effective, particularly on wheel nuts.

"Carlube" Copper Multi-purpose Grease made by Tetrosyl Limited stops my alloy wheels from becoming corroded onto the hubs. On the tube it gives the following website for help and advice www.cares4cars.co.uk ~ I haven't looked at the site though.
