squeaky wipers! Toyota Corolla - mikeinlondon
My wipers on my Toyota Corolla squeak and make other noises when used (in the wet obviously!) and it drives me crazy!

What can I do to reduce/get rid of these noises? I tried new wiper blades, but to no avail...

Any tips welcome!

Assuming the glass doesn't need a good de-grease and the spring is of the correct tension, try bending the wiper arm a few degrees to change the contact angle of the wiper blade. I did this some years ago with good result.

My technique was to use two adjustable wrenches on the flat (thinnest) portion of the arm, one as near to the arm pivot/spring mechanism as I could get and the other near to the arm 'claw'. I kept the one nearest the pivot static and twisted the one nearest the 'claw' to make the contact point more vertical.

Two attempts & the job was done.
