Door / Wing Mirrors - BobbyG
It just dawned on me today that the mirrors on my Scenic are actually mounted on the car body as opposed to on the door. Having a look around the car park today I couldn't see any other cars like this - they all seem to be door mounted.

Anyone know of any modern cars other than Scenic that have them body mounted?

[You can tell I sit in the car while SWMBO goes into the shops]

I noticed an AWD yesterday (couldn't see which) that had door mirrors and the traditional wing mirrors. They looked standard, not extras.

Modus.
Don't know of any non-Renaults though.

Modus is on the door.

They will have been downwards pointing ones I would assume, for checking on whereabouts the front wheels are (since the huge nose means you can't see)

Come on Bazza, no need to bring Cliff's nose into it.

(Sorry - couldn't help it)

A lot of the grey import 4x4's have these.

Wing mirrors are still popular in Japan.

Honda Jazz and Morris Marina. Though I doubt the former will fall off as the door rusts.

From the Jazz's I've seen the mirrors are mounted on the door.

Audi TT I think...

TT's are on the door as well.

One that springs to mind is the Peugeot 1007 - presumably because of the slidy door thing. The mirror is under the front quarterlight which stays on the body as the door slides.
