Do they know something? - DeeJay
This morning around 10.30 ,temperature 22C I was heading South on the old A3 between Liphook and Rake when a council gritter/snowplough complete with blade passed me heading North actually gritting the road! Do they know something that we don't? DeeJay.

I think there was something on here a few weeks ago about the gritters being used to spread something in order to stop the road surface melting.

There were a few going around the Birmingham area - but they were not actually putting down any grit. The council were just training new drivers.

Maybe the person at the wheel in your case was not a very good pupil...
