Renault Clio 172 2.0 16v - Indicators Pr - rogmackay

Hey folks,

hope you can help, none of my indicators work when I use the stalk or the hazard lights button.
I can hear the ticking - it is fast when using the stalk but normal when on the hazards - but no lighting display comes up on the dash board.

All the lights work - and even the amber indicators when I lock and unlock the car.

Is this an Engine Management problem ... my local dealer thinks it is, and he's quoting me £220 for a new one,
then another £80 to fit it!!

I'm not sure as there are no other problems ... Help would be appreciated!!

Doubt this is engine management related,from what you describe i would guess the problem to originate within the UCH,this is a fuse box/relay board/computer that controls most ancillery electrics on your vehicle and,im afraid a little pricey to have replaced and a dealer only job as it may require programming.these electronic fuse boxes can cause all sorts of wacky issues so my guess is the UCH. let me know how you get on.
