My wife's Astra ('97) has just broken a front coil spring, any idea how much this will cost to replace in a local garage?

My 1998 Vectra failed its MOT last week with a broken front coil spring. very common on Vauxhalls they told me.
Although the MOT man said it was only necessary to have the one replaced I decided to have both.
My local independant did it.
I also got them to change the brake fluid.
Springs £28.00 each
Brake fluid £3.00
Labour two hours. £64.00
Total including Vat £144.53
So I would expect about half if you only have the one done.
