I've got an L reg 1994 Vauxhall Carlton Estate, 172k, mot & tax June, automatic, metallic grey, excellent condition, nice drive until recently when pressure probs started - engine damaged been advised new engine needed....How much do you think I can get for it? (if anything!)

As VTE says, probably about £50.
eBay will get you that, and the buyer will collect, as long as you post photos.
Alternatively a scrapyard would probably give you at least a few tenners for it, no more.
I'd be very pleased with anything in three figures...

Cash in the tax. (You'll get a refund for March onwards)
If it still drives take to local auction and sell as seen.
If not too bad sounding may make £100 less commission.
If not running then as above Ebay may be best bet.

I say whack it on Ebay with a good description and a few photo's, start the bidding at a quid with no reserve - let the paying public decide what it's worth
