My 1999 TDDI Focus suffers from bad vibration through the body (not through the steering) on acceleration, can anyone help ?

Is it at a certain number of revs or constant when accelerating?

Hi Adam,
seems from 2000 - 4500 revs when accelerating hard in any gear. Feels like it might be a suspension problem were it attach's to the car or engine/ gearbox mounting but I've had my large crowbar over these any doesn't appear to be any play. This was also present in my last car a Fiesta but the track control arm bush was shot. The car has now done 152000 miles and the vibration is slowly getting worse,I'll just have to slow down aound those roundabout's on the A50.

That is strange. I only ask about the rev range because mine's started doing this. Admittedly mine's a petrol and I wouldn't really call it a vibration through the body but something is definitely vibrating at higher revs.
