i have aquired a 306 non starter the key i have is just a flat cut key ,is it possible the problem is that it should have a transponder key ? or is there a way of by passing the anti theft system?

hi steff you need to have your car recovered into your nearest peugeot garage.the car will not start without the transponder/remote key. The price of the transponder/remote key is about £60-£70.you should also have a blue plastic card ,this has the transponder code on it and the garage needs this to programme the key in.if you do not have the card the garage will phone peugeot and get the code,this cost about £10-£20

The Peugeot garage will ask for proof of ownership for the car before giving you the transponder key & code.
