Laguna 11 Clutch Wear - stagman
I've read comments on premature clutch wear on new Laguna's, mine's just starting to slip at 85,000 on a "motorway miles" 1.9DCI of 2001. Does anyone have any views on this and also I'm planning to change the unit myself, any tips or wise words of warning!

Thanks

85K of motorway miles dosent sound much - my Audi A4 has almost 150K and is still on the original

The clutch on my Dec 2001 1.9DCi started to slip intermittantly from 18k. Eventually got dealer to investigate when they found 'fluid' on the undertray at the 28k interim service. They eventually reported that the slave cylinder had been leaking over the clutch. It took a long time to get the bits (Nov 02); apparantly (as on many modern cars) it is a big (full day, engine out) job to change the clutch.
85k of motorway miles is very low (compared to VAG clutches), if just wear...
