Has anyone taken a look at the new Kia Picanto?

It looks awesome value at under £5500 for the "base" GS model.

57 mpg, cheap tax, cheap to buy,insurance GP2, good warranty.

ABS with EBD
5 Doors
Excellent split fold rear seats.
Electric Windows
Central Locking
CD Player with MP3.

I bet this will do some serious damage to Fiat Panda, Punto and Daihatsu Charade sales, not to mention Lupo and Ka.

Any pitfalls?

It's a Kia so anyone who is brand-sensitive at this end of the market will still go for a Panda.

The car that's really got to be worried by it is the Matiz; there are big discounts on them already to compensate.
