Corsa Sunroof Material Cracking

Hi All

The foam type material (not sure what it is!) around the edge of the glass on my sunroof is cracking when the weather is dry.
Does anyone know of some good stuff to put on it to prevent this?

Not sure of the year of your Corsa, but if the sunfoof is original equipment and it is the same as my Mk3 Cavalier, it has what I would describe as \"hairy\" flocking applied to the black rubber seal. So I wouldn\'t describe it as foam. This flocking lasted about 12 months on the top surface from new (exposed to the sun) before it was all gone, but after 15 years the stuff on the rubber seal between the metal roof & the glass is still there. If your rubber seal is actually looking like it is starting to dry out and split I don\'t think there is anything better than Amorall Protectant to keep rubber supple - provided your seal is actually made of rubber. Although it won\'t do any damage, try to keep it off the paint and glass as it causes smears for a while. Spray it on a cloth and apply like that or use a small paint brush to paint it onto the rubber.
