i have found that the volvo 900 series has a problem, the throttle can jam, which is quite dangerous. also the brake servo can fail, which is even worse, the problem also effects some of the 700 series, i am not quite sure of the dates, so its best to contact a main dealer.

Where did you hear this.
New to me.
Have you contacted Volvo?
All 700s now over 10 years old and last 900 made 96 ish, last V90 made 98 ish?
Would Volvo do anything?

the recall is still valid for the 900 series, but only if it was made from mid 1995.
i heard it from a mate who is a mechanic at a volvo main dealer, he said that volvo was trying to keep it 'hush hush', as it would cost them far to much money to recall all volvo 900 series cars.

There was an official recall of the 850 and old S70/V70 for a similar reason.

Chris, are you 100% sure you haven't mixed this up with the various recalls of 850s, S70s and V70s for the same reasons? (See Car by Car Breakdown)
