whats this worth ? please . - welshy
Just out of curiousity what would be the value on our Escort . Its a 1993-4 K plate model with the larger type rear lights . Ghia model 1.6 16v , has had one previous owner and full service history . There is a little rust on the rear arches but nothing serious very very small amount . Its mot`d for a year and tax till next Feb . I just need to know what sort of price I should expect to get for it . Thanks guys .

£1060 in good nick with average mileage, according to Parker's. In poor condition - about £240. Glass' has is much lower.

I'd say with reasonable mileage (under 90k), you could ask about £800.

Sounds about right... might get a couple of hundred more.

If you're in Wales, I know a garage that could fix your arches very cheaply.

Colour? Mileage? Escorts are sensitive to these even at this age. If it's a strong metallic colour and sensible miles, I'd say £995, although the rust will detract from that. Sold one the other day, 1.8 Ghia on a K with 107k miles, turned it around in two days flat for £900.

Mileage is showing 110,000 miles . One previous owner with full service history . The rear arches arnt that bad really , just a little on the one side , colour is like a metallic slate grey , all colour coded bumpers, door handles , mirrors .
Please tell me where in South Wales they will do the arches for me .

Try Devon View Garage in South Cornelly, near Porthcawl. It's a couple of old geezers down a dirt track, in a quarry, but they're cheap and they're one of the few people who will still touch rust-based welding.
