What makes you think the sensor is faulty?

Had code 16705 which relates to the camshaft sensor ?? got the codes cleared and after 2 weeks warning light back on this time they tell me it's code P0402 ??

The key word there is 'relates'. It does not necessarily mean the sensor is at fault, and most likely it isn't.

With the addition of P0402 (EGR Excessive Flow), I'd be tempted to check for a valve timing issue, manifold leak or stuck open EGR valve. All can be checked and diagnosed with a vacuum gauge on the inlet manifold. Google how to use one if you need to.
