Vauxhall Vectra C - loose steering high speed - superad

My Vectra has always been solid on motorway but now the steering is loose and hard to control above 80mph. It feels like your being blown about by the wind and fitting against it both left and right.

Wheel alignment was done 4 weeks ago.

Any ideas?

Drive at less than 80mph ?

Seriously though, it could be tyre wear, tyre pressures incorrect, steering components worn ... or one of a few other possibilities. Only way to really tell is to get it up in the air, and someone who knows what they're doing to have a look.

Looks like it needs 4 wheel tracking as my mechanic thinks the back wheels are out of alignment
