Ford Kuga - OBD port Issue - Sean.FezSi

Hello all,

I have an issue with the OBD port on my 2009 mk1 kuga. Prior to my Mot last November, the engine management light appeared on my dash. A friend in work has an obd Bluetooth reader and plugged it in. Turned out the fault code present was the dpf pressure was low, I'm assuming it was due to short journeys and soot build up.

I purchased a similar reader for the real time information feature as well as to read any codes should they appear. Now my predicament is, since the Mot, the obd port does not work as it should. The power led on the reader lights up but it will not communicate with the ECU, my friend tried his reader with the same results.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? The engine management light has come on again and I'd like to find out what fault codes are there before I take it to a garage.

Thanks in advance

Sean

Make sure you have a good power and earth supply to the obd socket.

12 volt battery supply to pin 16

earth/negative supply to pins4/5. If these are all good, then I would suggest that a more professional test kit is used.

I would think a low differential pressure means a clear filter?

Or a sensor out of range?
