BMW 118d - BMW drivers door problems - Bigben2901
Hi, new to this forum but been lurking for a while.
Wife has a 118d and it constantly thinks the drivers door is open so we can't lock it. We have replaced the door latch mechanism but it's made no difference. Anybody on here got any ideas?

I assume that there is a electrical connection that senses whather the door is closed or not. A decent chance that a wire has frayed, or is earthing out somewhere, an auto electrician is your best bet
